This paper discusses the ray surface and the wave normal surface of a spot light source in anisotropism crystal by means of Maxwell's equation, and presents the secondary wave surface used in determining directions of extraordinary rays and obtains that waves in crystals by Huygens' construction is ray surface rather than wave normal surface.
