This paper analyses the verse and inverse kinematics of HP99 stacker robot and solves these two problems.

Based on the structure of the stacker robot,the workspace is presented,and a mathematical model of optimum design of structural parameters of HP99 stacker robot is set up with the workspace as an important constraint condition and compact constitution and the minimum weight as the objective function.
