This thesis treats the gauze paper of the Zhuang nationality in Gongchuan of Guangxi,with the technology and culture of gauze paper as its main subject.
采用人类学田野调查的方法,对广西壮族一项面临失传的技术———广西贡川纱纸生产的工艺操作、工艺技艺、纸药及烤炉(裱纸工具)的制作等进行详细的科技史描述,以记录这一壮族人民的智慧,抢救这种文化传统;将田野资料进行比较研究,以展示纱纸工艺在现代的变迁;透过对其环境和经济的描述,发现壮族的纱纸工艺与环境密切相关,并由技术衍生出一套相应的文化,最终达到透过传统工艺来了解壮族社会深层次的结构的目的。
