A novel concept on the continuously distributed directional image/field (CDDF) and the method to compute it in the fingerprint images are developed, which transits smoothly and exhibits not only good continuity,gradualness and excellent robustness to the noises, but also very high precision.
提出了指纹连续分布方向图(场)的概念及其算法,这种连续分布方向图过渡平滑、自然,具有很好的连续性、渐变性和抗噪性,同时又具有极高的精确度,兼有指纹点方向图的连续过渡性和块方向图的抗噪性优点,对低质量指纹图像具有良好的鲁棒性,能更精确地反映指纹脊线的结构特征,提高自动指纹识别系统AFIS(AutomatedFingerprintIdentificationSystem)的性能。

本文提出了指纹连续分布方向图(场)的概念及其算法,连续分布方向图具有很好的连续性、渐变性、抗噪性和较高的精确度;对经典的PoincaréIndex计算公式和指纹奇异点检测算法进行了改进,改进后的PoincaréIndex不仅能精确表示向量场的旋转角度,而且还能精确表示向量场的旋转方向,能够在像素级水平精确定位指纹奇异点(core点和delta点)。
