The investigation on Chinese abbreviations mainly chooses the abbreviations compiled in "Modern Chinese Dictionary(supplementary edition 2002)" and those from People s Daily(year 2001-2003) with a total number of about 80 million characters as the target,and classifies them into two categories,fixed abbreviations and temporary abbreviations.
本文以《现代汉语词典》(2002年增补本)所收简称和《人民日报》2001年至2003年约8千万字的语料中出现的简称为考察对象,将简称分为固定简称和临时简称两种。
