This paper introduces the interactive implementation mechanism of MPEG-4 detailedly,aiming at the object-based encoded and interactivable characters of MPEG-4,designs an elementary framework of interactive multimedia system based on MPEG-4,gives a detailed analysis about the basic modules of the framework,and finally,designs all the components detailedly with DirectShow technology.
