In order to alleviate the in vivo deiodination of radioiodine-labeled biomolecules,a novel precursor,N-succinimidyl-5-(tributylstannyl)-3-pyridinecarboxylate(SPC),is synthesized in an oxygen-and water-free argon atmosphere.
